Sally Matthews B. Arch Hons, AIA is a Registered Architect (no.1836), and
has worked on a number of significant projects prior to the formation of
Matthews Architecture accruing over ten years experience in
Architecture. This experience, ranges from institutional to large scale
commercial projects with local and national firms. Sally is a founding
Director of the company and a Board Member of the Architect’s Board
of WA. She has also been a member of the jury for the 2008 AIA
Architecture Awards

Clinton Matthews B. Arch is a Registered Architect (no. 2197), he brings
with him over sixteen years of hands on experience in the building
industry with a trade certificate in Boiler Making, Welding and has also
previously worked for a leading Perth Building company in an
administrative role. Clinton takes on the role of project leader to
ensure the smooth running of the business of Architecture both on and
off site. Clinton is a founding Director of the company.

Andrea Veccia-Scavalli B. Arch Hons, is a Registered Architect (no. 2255)
joined Matthews Architecture as a Director in 2005 after working as a
lead designer in Melbourne for a period of seven years. During this
time Andrea has taken an important role in significant projects
changing the face of Melbourne. With fifteen years experience in
Architecture, he brings expertise with an emphasis in design and brief
formulation. He enjoys exploration of the possibilities different projects
present communicating this graphically to the client.

Nikki Ross B. Arch Hons joined the practice in early 2006 bringing with her
over five years experience working as a designer in London and
Barcelona. Whilst in Europe she took a vital role in many international
hotel projects and then in Perth, large scale residential projects. Nikki
brings a commitment to design and the innovative incorporation of
construction techniques.

Dianna Ingram BSc Arch Hons, is a Registered Architect in the UK. She
hails from Scotland where she gained extensive experience in the
design and procurement of public housing projects. Dianna has
recently spent time working in an Architectural firm in New Zealand,
gaining experience in Residential and Educational work. Dianna brings
with her a proactive approach to projects in design, coordination of
consultants and administration.

Damien Caraher B. Arch, a Graduate architect in 2005, originally hails
from Canada and joins the practice having studied and gained
architectural experience in Canada and Perth. He brings with him an
expertise in up to date digital imaging and computer skills. His
experience covers a wide range from residential work, Institutional,
Educational and commercial.

Angela Hopkins B. Env Design, currently works part time with Matthews Architecture whilst completing her 5th year of studies in the Masters of Architecture at UWA. Angela assists in research support, document collation and formatting, whilst her skills in graphics and presentations have been utilized extensively throughout individual projects.

Helen Stan Bishop Office Manager, joined the team at the start of 2009 and offers a broad range of experience in the construction industry having previously worked for an engineering firm. Helen’s role as general office manager ensures smooth functioning, cash flow and a high level of efficiency within the office.

John Monger B.Arch. (Hons), A Dip Arch Draft, is a Registered Architect (no. 1767), and joined the team in 2009 as a senior architect bringing over 15 years experience in medium to large scale Commercial, Educational and Residential design in both Australia and Spain. His key areas of expertise include establishing client briefs, feasibility studies, design development, contract documentation and administration.

Katrina Buters Dip Build Design & Tech, Adv. Dip Interior Design, joined the Matthews Architecture team recently as an interior designer after completing a total of 5 years of study in 2009. Whilst at Uni Katrina worked part time for a small local firm as both interior drafter and designer on a wide range of projects from commercial and industrial, to multi-story residential. With a zealous interest in sustainable design, she explores and presents environmentally friendly solutions to sleek, modern design aesthetics.

Matt Robinson B.Apld. Science, joined Matthews Architecture in 2009 and works part time while finishing his last year of study in the Masters of Architecture at Curtin University. Having also completed a Certificate IV in Residential Drafting, backed by 3 years drafting experience in his home town of Albany extending from sketch design to full working drawings, Matt specialises in a wide range of tasks from sketch design and 3D presentation to Architectural Drafting.

Janet Keating Dip Fine Arts, B.Arts Interior Arch. (Hons), graduated in 2006 and travelled Europe working for prominent Dublin firm Douglas Wallace, in Ireland, as an interior designer on high-end boutique hotels and retail projects. Returning to Perth at the end of 2008 she recently joined Matthews Architecture as an interior designer, whilst also tutoring first year design students at Curtain University. Her interest in concept driven design and creative use of materials produce highly original and unique design outcomes.

Peter Howes Dip.Arch Drafting, joined the practice as an architectural draftsperson in 2009, bringing 35 years of experience in preparing detailed and complex drawings in respect to a wide range of projects across industry sectors and Australia, having lived and worked in Canberra and Brisbane also. Prior to joining Matthews Architecture Peter ran his own business in Outsourced Architectural Drafting Services, facilitating some of Perth’s top residential architects and making him an extremely capable and reliable team member.
